<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an entry/exit management device that can simultaneously card-recognize entering persons and exiting persons and can distinguish the entering persons and the exiting persons, in a single device unit. <P>SOLUTION: The body of the device 12 has therein a card recognizing reader/writer for entering persons and a card recognizing reader/writer for exiting persons. Simultaneous card recognition of an entering person and an exiting person is possible for reduced device installation cost and installation space, and distinction between the entering person and the exiting person is also possible.
