<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform management of replenishment of expendables in a plurality of printers arranged in a wide area and accounting of the plurality of printers. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of printers 50a and 50b connected to an information management device 30 for managing an entire system by a network 22 are divided into blocks by languages, currencies, and geographical factors, and a plurality of competent management servers 40 are installed in blocks and are connected to the network 22. Expendables consumption data related to expendables consumed in printers 50a and 50b are periodically inputted by the information management device 30 and transferred to competent management servers 40 corresponding to respective blocks. Competent management servers 40 manage replenishment of expendables in printers 50a and 50b in the blocks on the basis of transferred expendables consumption data and use currencies in the blocks to perform accounting of printers 50a and 50b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
