PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display wherein an afterimage is drastically suppressed. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display has a pixel electrode in a pixel region of a liquid crystal side surface of one substrate of respective substrates disposed opposite to each other via the liquid crystal, a counter substrate for applying an electric field between the counter substrate and the pixel electrode and an electric charge transfer layers covering the pixel electrode and the counter electrode. The pixel electrode and the counter electrode are formed in the same plane having the same layer and the liquid crystal has <1×10<SP>13</SP>(Ωcm) specific resistance. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
