PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent inconvenience in which light impinges on dark pixels of a signal accumulation sensor. SOLUTION: It is judged whether an accumulation signal from a dark pixel of the sensor comprising a plurality of pixels reaches a specified level and when the specified level is reached, processing such as range finding processing using the accumulation signal is inhibited.
