PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an error between a temperature indicated in a temporary sale stopping display and a temperature of a commodity in the sale control by a preserving temperature of a vending machine. SOLUTION: This control device is composed of a commodity shelf 7 arranged in a body 5 for cooling-preserving the commodity 8, an evaporator 4 for cooling the inside of the body 5, a refrigerating machine 3 for supplying a refrigerant to this evaporator 4, a first temperature detecting means 12 for detecting a temperature in the body 5, a second temperature detecting means 13 covered with an endothermic material 14 having heat capacity, an arithmetic processing part 17 for comparing the temperature detected by the first temperature detecting means 12 and the second temperature detecting means 13 with respectively preset prescribed temperatures and a control means 18 for controlling operation of the temporary sale stopping display 10 for displaying stoppage of a sale of the commodity 8 by a signal from this arithmetic processing part 17.
