PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the conventional flow meter is not desirable for reasons of sanitation and has economical futility, and lifetime is short. SOLUTION: The usage sensing device of a filter for liquid treatment converts the pressure of liquid flowing in a filter 2 into a capacitance by using a diaphragm type pressure sensor 4, converts the capacitance into a frequency, and measures flow rate from the frequency. The sensing device is provided with a diaphragm, a movable electrode plate and a fixed electrode plate, and constituted of a pressure sensor for converting the pressure of flowing liquid into the capacitance, a frequency converter for converting the capacitance into the frequency and a treater for measuring the flow rate of liquid from the frequency. The pressure sensor is so fixed that the diaphragm faces the inside of a through conduit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
