PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the productivity in a hot-rolling equipment train having a roughing mill and a Steckel mill, without changing the scale of conventional equipment even in the case that the unit weight of a slab is increased, and to improve the yield by reducing defective parts in the end parts of a sheet. SOLUTION: In the hot-rolling equipment train having the roughing mill 14 and the Steckel mill 20, a coiler 30 and uncoiler 32 are provided on the conveying route of a material to be rolled from the roughing mill to the Steckel mill.
