PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contaminant separator in which contaminated soil supplied into a casing is finely pulverized while a pulverizing part attached in the casing is rotated so as to remove substances harmful for a human body such as trichloroethylene and heavy metals depositing on the contaminated soil. SOLUTION: A shaft driven by a motor is pivotally attached in a hollow casing having an input shooting part and a discharge port, and a plurality of pulverizing parts to pulverize contaminated soil are attached to the periphery of the shaft. The pulverizing part comprises chains of a plurality of ring-like chain members connected to the pin attached to the shaft. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
