PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral membrane element, a reverse osmosis membrane module, and a reverse osmosis membrane apparatus, which control the accumulation of turbid substances even when raw water of high turbidity, such as industrial water, is supplied without being pretreated, and enable stable water passage treatment over a long period. SOLUTION: In the spiral membrane element, a bag-shaped separation membrane is wound onto the peripheral surface of a permeation water collecting pipe with a raw water spacer. The raw water spacer is made of first and second wire rods extending from the inflow side toward the outflow side of raw water while meandering in the shape of a gentle curve. The first wire rod extends along one membrane surface of the separation membrane and forms one raw water channel between it and the adjacent first wire rod. The second wire rod extends along the other membrane surface of the separation membrane and forms the other raw water channel between the adjacent second wire rod. The first and second wire rods are laid to overlap each other and bonded together at an overlapping spot. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
