The side bars (11) include an adjustable part (13) which is slipped over the seat cover. A clamping profile extending along at least a section of the edge of the cover is securable to at least one fastener on the inside of the seat shell (3, 5). The seat has a specially contoured shell with integrally formed side bars covered by the seat cover.
