High temperature sensor with a metallic protection tube (8) and associated process and electrical connections and a temperature-sensitive resistance (1.1). The resistance has a ceramic capsule (1.3) and is connected via stress-relieved connecting wires (1.2) to inner connection wires (4). Encapsulated resistance and inner conductor wires are arranged within the protection tube which narrows (8.1) around the resistance. The tube is filled with oxygen donating ceramic powder and at its connection point has additional components with a higher heat expansion coefficient.
