OPTICAL ELEMENT AND BACKLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An optical element, and a backlight assembly and a liquid crystal display using the same are provided to prevent the generation of scratch due to expansion by heat and vibration applied from the external without using an adhesive material. CONSTITUTION: An optical element body outputs the second light(177) by changing optical property of the incident first light(175). The first fixing part is projected in parallel from an edge of the optical element body in order to form a fixing hole to accommodate expansion and reduction of the optical element body and a vibration attenuation unit to attenuate vibration applied to the optical element body by being formed around the fixing hole. The first fixing part is formed at two facing edges of the optical element body.
