PURPOSE: Photo paper for an ink-jet printer and a thermal printer is provided to obtain desired prints from one record medium without regard to kinds of printers. CONSTITUTION: The photo paper for an ink-jet printer and a thermal printer comprises: a substrate(3); an ink receiving layer(1) for an ink-jet printer formed on one portion of the substrate(3) and an ink receiving layer(1) for a thermal printer formed on the other portion of the substrate(3). A water-soluble or hydrophilic polymer contained in the ink receiving layer(1) for an ink-jet printer is selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl alcohol polymer, polyvinyl pyrrolidone polymer, cellulose polymer such as methyl cellulose, hydroxyl propylmethyl cellulose, gelatin, polyethylene oxide, acryl polymer, polyester polymer, polyurethane polymer and copolymer with quaternary ammonium type.
