PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new GPR7 ligand and a DNA, etc., thereof.

SOLUTION: There is provided a polypeptide characterized as comprising an amino acid sequence identical with or substantially identical with a specific amino acid sequence that is derived from the whole human brain, the whole mouse brain and the whole rat brain and has the N-terminal amino acid residue which may be brominated or its salt. Th GPR7 ligand is useful for development of a receptor-bound assay system using an expression system of the GPR7, screening, etc., of a candidate compound for medicines such as an antiobese agent.
