<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peritoneal dialysis apparatus which can shorten a period of time required for the dialysis treatment by increasing the dialysis efficiency and the water removing efficiency, and also can suppress the medical treatment cost; and a peritoneal dialysis method using the peritoneal dialysis apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The peritoneal dialysis apparatus 1 has a catheter which can inject and drain a peritoneal dialysis liquid in/from the abdominal cavity of a patient, a peritoneal dialysis liquid circuit 2 which is connected with the catheter, and a dialyzer 3 which is provided on the peritoneal dialysis liquid circuit 2. Then, a blood dialysis liquid circuit 4 is connected with the dialyzer 3 so that the peritoneal dialysis liquid passing inside can come into contact with a blood dialysis liquid through a hollow fiber membrane for the peritoneal dialysis apparatus 1. In the peritoneal dialysis apparatus 1, on the catheter connected end side more than the dialyzer 3 on the peritoneal dialysis liquid circuit 2, a means 5 which can measure an osmolal pressure agent concentration in the peritoneal dialysis liquid is provided.
