PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enclosed compressor which is capable of using an axial gap type electric motor even at a use environment under which an enclosed container becomes high temperature and reducing load which a shaft and a bearing are subjected to, by shortening axial length, enlarging assembly tolerance and allowable quantity of clearance between the shaft and the bearing, and giving margin over tilt of the shaft. SOLUTION: The enclosed compressor disposes a compression part 2 and an electric motor 3 within the enclosed container 1, and is provided with the shaft 7 which transmits rotary force of the motor 3 on the compression part and a main frame 8. The compressor is configured so as to use an axial gap type electric motor which, within the electric motor 3, comprises a stator 3a with winding coils 3a2 about an iron core 3a1 of a magnetic substance on circumference of the shaft 7, and a rotor 3b which is fixed on the shaft 7 and which rotates to be driven by the stator 3a. In such an enclosed compressor, the compressor provides a cylindrical support frame 10 made of a metal provided with a flange 10a which connects and fixes at least one end of the respective stator iron core 3a1 on outer periphery of the stator 3a and fixes outer peripheral face of the support frame 10 on an inner wall of the enclosed container 1.
