METHOD OF STABILIZING BALLAST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of stabilizing a ballast by using a setting agent for ballast crushed-stone, which agent has excellent low-odor-emitting and foaming supression properties and such viscosity as to be easily spreadable, and is curable in a short time even at a relatively low temperature. SOLUTION: The setting agent for ballast crushed-stone is obtained by mixing the chief component, consisting of an isocyanate group-terminated urethane prepolymer (A) prepared by reaction between a polyol and an organic polyisocyanate compound and a viscosity reducing agent (B), with a curing agent component consisting of a catalyst (C). The method of stabilizing the road bed is that the setting agent having a viscosity of 500 cps or less at 0°C is spread over the ballast crush-stone with a sprinkling can. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
