PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation test device for a passenger conveyer step link safety unit capable of easily operating the step link safety unit for performing an operation test with high safety. SOLUTION: A safety unit 50 is installed in the vicinity of a turn edge of a swing rail 35 for detecting that displacement of the swing rail 35 exceeds a predetermined value and provided with a cam 53 having a recess 53a at the center and a projection at an end, a microswitch 55 to be pushed by the projection 53 when the cam 53 moves to exceed the predetermined value, an operation check button 52, and an elastic body 52 for biasing the operation check button 52 to an OFF position. The operation test device for performing an operation test for the safety unit 50 is installed adjacent to the operation check button 52 and provided with a pressure means 1 for moving the operation button 52 to an ON position and a remote controller 4 connected to the pressure means 1 for remotely controlling the pressure means 1.
