PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a sealing member coming in contact with the outer peripheral surface of a pinch roll, to reduce consumption of non-oxidizing gas, and to efficiently perform a roll changing work in the pinch roll in a short period of time. SOLUTION: A roll changing device for pinch roll is provided with housings 51a, 51b which can move along rails 63 extended to the side part by crossing with a moving course of a strip, and hole-shaped outside housings 64a, 64b in which the inside housings 51a, 51b can be fitted/removed by fixing to the interposing portion of the strip in the width direction. In the inside housings 51a, 51b, upper and lower pinch rolls 52, 53 are provided through a roll chock 54 and also, upper and lower roll covers 66, 67 and an intermediate cover 68 for covering the outer peripheries of the upper and the lower pinch rolls 52, 53, are provided. In the outside housings 64a, 64b, a rolling reduction device 65 for performing rolling-reduction with the upper pinch roll 52, is provided through the roll chock 54. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
