PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water cleaning pot capable of simply obtaining cleaned water of good quality, and a water cleaning method using the same. SOLUTION: The water cleaning pot has a structure comprising a water cleaner 4 which is mounted on the upper mouth part 12 of a container 3 to pass tap water flowing in from above downwardly and provided with a filter 8 containing a desalting material for further reducing this cleaned water and moving this reduced water from the bottom part to the upper part when the reduced water is allowed to flow out to pass the same in the outflow direction from the container to clean the same, and an electrolyzer 6 replaced with the water cleaner 4 to be mounted on the upper mouth part 12 of the container 3 and provided with electrodes charged in the water in the container and electrolyzing the cleaned water to lower oxidation and reduction potential of water to form reduced water.
