LOCATING A COMMUNICATION DEVICE USING ORTHOGONAL PROJECTIONS

A novel method and apparatus for determining geolocation of a mobile transmitter (MS1) is provided. The apparatus and the method utilize an orthogonal projection of a source signal (Figure 1) to canceling interference from the source signal in the geolocation process (Figure 4).
