Drainage device for bearing units of generators has drainage aperture in splashback

The generator bearing unit drainage device has a bearing (10) in a hub (8). There is a splashback (20) facing radially inwards between the bearing and the outside of the housing. There is an aperture (21) in the splashback for drainage. The splashback, which may be made in one with the hub, may pass into a tubular piece (27) extending axially.
