PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method are provided to reduce vibrations of engine by enhancing the fuel injection stop valve from an on/off system to a pulse width modulation system. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a fuel injection stop valve arranged at the front end of the fuel injection pump of the diesel car, wherein the fuel injection stop valve is controlled in a pulse width modulation system, to thereby sequentially reduce the amount of fuel. A method comprises a step(S110) of judging whether the ignition switch is turned off; and a step(S120) of outputting a control signal for reducing the amount of fuel by applying a fuel injection reduction map, if the ignition switch is turned off.
