PURPOSE: A water supply valve and a supply control apparatus for a washing machine are provided to increase the productivity, and to reduce the number of parts by simplifying the structure with forming a flow detecting unit instead of a water level sensor. CONSTITUTION: A water supply valve(500) of a washing machine includes a body(501) forming the outer case; a water supply passage formed in the body; an opening unit automatically opening and closing the water supply passage; and a flow detecting unit installed in the water supply passage to measure flow of feed water through the water supply passage. A water supply control apparatus includes a microcomputer(600) for controlling the water supply valve and the supply passage opening unit. The flow detecting unit comprises a rotating body formed in the water supply passage, and a sensing unit detecting rpm of the rotating body. The rotating body includes an impeller rotating corresponding to flow rate, and a magnet integrally rotating with the impeller, and the sensing unit measures fluctuation of flux in rotating the magnet. |
