DEVICE FOR PREVENTING DAMAGE OF BELT AT SIDE PART OF HEAD CHUTE

PURPOSE: A device for preventing damages of a belt at a side part of a head chute is provided to prevent both side parts of a conveyor belt from being damaged even if the belt is meandered at a head pulley during the operation of a belt conveyor by rotating a belt protecting rotary disc with the belt and to prevent a gap of the side part of the head chute from being expanded. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing damages of a belt at a side part of a head chute(2) is composed of a belt protecting rotary disc(10) and a plurality of supporting rollers(11). The belt protecting rotary disc is larger than the diameter of a head pulley(3) mounted in the head chute to drive a belt conveyor(1), fixed to a rotary shaft of the head pulley, and positioned at both side surfaces(2a) of the head chute. The supporting rollers are rotatively fixed to supporting rods(12) fixed to both side surfaces of the head chute to support belt protecting rotary disc.
