STATOR OF MOTOR FOR DRUM-TYPE WASHING MACHINE

PURPOSE: A stator of a motor for a drum-type washing machine is provided to improve the performance of a motor by minimizing a cogging torque and a reluctance torque ripple due to the change of air gap flux density and the distortion of current by a stator slot. CONSTITUTION: A stator is comprised of a plurality of cores(110), which are stacked upwardly and downwardly. Each of the plurality of cores(110) is formed of a thin disk-shaped core having a through-hole of a predetermined diameter formed at the center thereof. A multiplicity of coil winding pieces(114) is provided on the circumference of each core(110) at regular intervals. A tip(116) is provided on an outer end of each coil winding pieces(114). The tip(116) has a width wider than that of the coil winding pieces(114) and a radius of curvature(R2) different from a radius of curvature(R1) of a motor. A notch(118) is formed on a front end of the tip(116).
