Method for attaching a strip-like flexible section and apparatus for making the same

A grip and jointing tool (13) is connected to a multi-axis robot for positionable stationing. The tool includes a jointing tool which adapts to and grips the contour of the e.g. windscreen (12) edge (20). Rollers in pairs round the tool contour guide the sealing profile (1) along and round the screen edge and join them together. The sealing profile has an adhesive strip face with peel-off protection which is removed by compressed air nozzles directed onto the strip along with a pair of rollers which peel the protective strip off, notably by travel and clamping rollers.
