PURPOSE: An experimental model apparatus for learning the mechanical behavior of a ground structure is provided to increase the learning efficiency by easily showing the phenomena for the various complex ground mechanics to the students. CONSTITUTION: An experimental model apparatus for learning the mechanical behavior of a ground structure includes a structure provided with a lengthwise horizontal frame(1), a vertical frame(3) and a bottom plate, a transparent soil bin and a pair of pressure gauges(24,25). The transparent soil bin is provided with a lower plate, a side plate, a rear side plate and a front side plate. In the transparent soil bin, a plurality of plastic beads having a different color and a different size are alternatively stacked to form a geological stratum. And, the pressure gauges(24,25) are connected to the lengthwise horizontal frame(1) and the vertical frame(3), respectively.
