PURPOSE: A long nozzle protection device is provided to improve productivity of continuous casting process by preventing damage of long nozzle due to angle and moving deviation of upper and lower parts of the long nozzle in the long nozzle mounting process and performing detachment and assembling promptly and easily during exchange of the long nozzle. CONSTITUTION: The long nozzle protection device is characterized in that a protection ring(10) is horizontally and rotationally installed on an upper part of a vertically long moving stick(15), a guide bar(12) is installed at a central part of the moving stick(15) to guide vertical movement of the moving stick(15), and a supporting guide(11) into which long nozzle is inserted is installed at a lower part of the moving stick(15) in such a way that the supporting guide(11) is positioned on a straight line along with the protection ring(10), wherein hollow supporting sockets(20) are installed at both surfaces of the supporting guide(11), a moving bar(17) is inserted into the supporting sockets(20), a spring(19) is interposed between the supporting sockets(20) and moving bar(17), and a horizontal catching element(18) is installed at a lower part of the moving bar(17) in such a way that the horizontal catching element(18) is horizontally rotated to an inner side of the supporting guide(11).
