A cable storage device 1 comprises a drum 2 with interengaging rotating members being located on and supporting a first end 4 of the drum with at least one socket 5 being located on the second end 6 of the drum, the at least one socket cooperating with the plug at one end of a cable to be stored on the cable storage means and the cable storage means further comprising cable guides 7 which serve to guide the cable extending from the plug onto the winding surface 8 of the drum. The second end of the drum may have a flange 13 extending therefrom, the cable guides comprising a slot 16 in this flange through which the cable may pass. A latch 18, which can be spring-loaded, may be provided which covers the slot when it is not in use. The cable storage device may further comprise an outer casing 12. |
