METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ELECTROSPRAY MASS SPECTROMETRIC ANALYSIS

A method for electrospray ionization mass spectrometric analysis which comprises cooling a sample to be analyzed which contains a solvent and flows out from a spray fine tube with an inert gas for low temperature vaporizatio n (A), and carrying out ionization and a mass spectrometric analysis of the sample while cooling a chamber (7) for removing a solvent or an ion source block (8) with liquid nitrogen; and an apparatus for the method. The method can be used for analyzing exactly a mass of a molecular ion or a fragment io n of an unstable organometallic complex or a polymeric organic compound.
