PURPOSE: To provide an industrially advantageous method for continuously producing alkadienols by which the selectivity and conversion rate are enhanced without raising the concentration of a conjugated alkadiene in a reactional solution. CONSTITUTION: A hydrophobic phosphorus compound is used as a phosphorus compound and the reaction is carried out by keeping the concentration of a conjugated alkadiene in a reactional solution in a reactor within the range of 0.5-4.5wt.% in reacting the conjugated alkadiene with water in the presence of a catalyst containing a palladium compound and the phosphorus compound and carbon dioxide in the continuous type reactor, carrying out the hydrating dimerization reaction of the conjugated alkadiene and continuously producing alkadienols. |
