Disclosed is a bookcase whose space can be adjusted to the right and/or to the left, wherein the space of the bookcase is adjustable to the right and/or to the left adaptively to the size or volume of books to be put thereon, to thereby allow the books to be arranged on the bookcase well to see. According to the present invention, the bookcase whose space adjustment is available, comprising a pair of support plates opposite to each other, having a guide hole elongated in a longitudinal direction and a coupling hole on the upper thereof, an expandable/retractable connecting means coupled between the pair of support plates, connecting multiple plate bars so as to shape several Xs, and a fixing means connecting in a fixed manner the support plates and the expandable/retractable connecting means. The bookcase according to the present invention is capable of adjusting its space at the user's option, and thus, it can be used by adjusting its space according to the size and volume of the books to be put thereon, thereby reducing an unnecessary space occupied when the bookcase stands on a table or desk. For carrying, keeping or packing the bookcase, the bookcase can be folded or unfolded freely. Therefore, if the bookcase is folded, it gets small in volume, thereby making it easy to carry, keep or pack the bookcase. |
