PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability, facilitate mass production, and enhance quality by covering a surface of an elastic roll to constitute a functional roll with a contractible tube of polyamide type elastomer containing a conductive material. SOLUTION: A surface of an elastic roll to constitute a functional roll such as a transfer roll 6 arranged on the outer periphery of a photosensitive roll 1, is covered with a contractible tube of polyamide type elastomer containing a conductive material. Polyether amide type elastomer or the like by performing condensation polymerization on low molecular weight polycarboxylic acid polyamide in a melting condition and oligomer of dihydroxypolyether, is cited as this polyamide type elastomer, and the one containing polyamide 12 as a polyamide component is preferable. It is desirable that a film thickness of this contractible tube is in a range of 0.03 to 0.25mm, preferably, in a range of 0.07 to 0.15mm, and its shrinkage factor is preferred to be 3 to 20%, preferably, about 5 to 15% in the circumferential direction by example. |
