PURPOSE: A cellular phone having simplified functions is provided to use less than 10 buttons, and to assign telephone numbers to each button, then to make a call by pressing one button only, thereby reducing total weight of the cellular phone. CONSTITUTION: A controller(270) temporarily stores or processes data generated while executing an operational program. A memory(280) stores many setup values and the inputted data under control of the controller(270). An antenna(210) processes transceiving of voice data. A microphone(250) receives a user's voice. A speaker(220) outputs the voice data processed in the controller(270) as a voice. A display(230) displays necessary information under control of the controller(270). An input unit(200) comprises as follows A serial port(260) receives data inputted from an external terminal, and inputs the data to the controller(270). A key input unit(240) directly inputs the data to the controller(270).
