PURPOSE: A device for flatly pressing the edge of coil is provided to prevent surface damage of various rubber rolls and coater rolls of line by moving the flatly pressing device according to width of coil, thereby flattening the edge of damaged strip using hammer and pressing rubber roller. CONSTITUTION: The device for flatly pressing the edge of coil comprises cylinder supporting part, and hydraulic cylinder(80) and cylinder subsidiary rod(78) supported to the cylinder supporting part with being fixed to the cylinder supporting part; a holder support which is connected to a lower part of the hydraulic cylinder(80) and cylinder subsidiary rod(78), and on an upper part of which driving motor(74) is installed; an upper pressing rubber roll holder(52a) which is inserted into the holder support, in which air cushion cylinder(58) is installed, and at a lower part of which base(66) is formed so that the upper pressing rubber roll holder(52a) is moved along a screw direction of the shaft(56); a lower pressing rubber roll holder(52b) which is fixed to the upper pressing rubber roll holder(52a) by fixing pin(69) in such a manner that hammer(60) is inserted onto the fixing pin(69), and in which rotation cam(68) and pressing rubber roll(50) are installed; a spring(62a) which is mounted between the hammer(60) and base(66), and a length of which is adjusted by tension control bolts(62); and a shaft(56) which is connected to time belt(72) to receive driving force of the driving motor(74) through the time belt(72), and on which counterclockwise screw and clockwise screw are formed to move the upper pressing rubber roll holder(52a) in a screw direction.
