PURPOSE: A method for preparing 1,1-diphenyl-2-(4-dihydroxyboronephenyl)ethene (DEPB) as a useful precursor of 9,10-bis£4-(2,2-diphenylvinyl)phenyl|anthracene (DPVA) which is a blue luminescence material is provided, thereby preparing the title compound under mild and standard condition and improving the preparation yield. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing 1,1-diphenyl-2-(4-dihydroxyboronephenyl)ethene (DEPB) of the formula(2) as a useful precursor of 9,10-bis£4-(2,2-diphenylvinyl)phenyl|anthracene (DPVA) of the formula(1) comprises reacting 1,1-diphenylethene of the formula(9) with 4-halophenylboronic acid of the formula(10) in the presence of palladium catalyst, base and organic solvent, wherein X is halogen; the palladium catalyst is selected from palladium acetate, palladium chloride, tetrazkistriphenylphosphine palladium, triarylphosphine and palladium complex and palladium/carbon; the base is selected from diethylamine, triethylamine, benzyldimethylamine and tributylamine; and the organic solvent is selected from dimethylsulfoxide, acetonitrile, dimethylformamide, hexamethylphosphoamide, N-methylpyrrolidone and methanol.
