PURPOSE: A method for informing of limited receiving situations on a terminal for a cellular phone is provided to inform a caller that a terminal user sets a limited receiving mode, if a voice call is generated while setting the terminal to the limited receiving mode, thereby enabling the caller to perceive situations of the terminal user. CONSTITUTION: A controller displays a menu(100), and displays a kind of cellular phone management(101). If a user selects a setup menu(103), the controller displays a kind of a limited receiving reason(104). The controller senses that the user selects a limited receiving reason(105), and converts a terminal into a limited receiving mode(106). If a voice call is generated(107), the controller checks whether the limited receiving mode is set(108). If so, the controller transmits a set bit corresponding to the limited receiving reason to a base station(109). The base station transmits a confirm bit value set in an ORDQ(Order Qualification Code) field to the terminal(110), and transmits a bit received from the terminal to a calling terminal(111). A controller of the calling terminal confirms an ORDQ bit value(112), and transmits a confirm bit value set in an ORDQ field of a release order to the base station(113). The controller of the calling terminal searches the limited receiving reason from a database, and informs the calling terminal of the reason(114).
