PREPARATION METHOD OF METHOXY PHENYLHYDRAZINE USING HYDROGENATION

PURPOSE: A method for preparing methoxy phenylhydrazine is provided, to improve the environmental-friendliness by suppressing the generation of heavy metal waste and performing the reaction under the mild condition by using a Pt-based catalyst. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of preparing methoxy phenylamine HCl salt by reacting methoxy phenylamine or its derivative with HCl; preparing methoxy phenyldiazonium salt from the methoxy phenylamine HCl salt; preparing methoxy phenylhydrazine sulfurous acid salt from the methoxy phenyl diazonium salt; and preparing methoxy phenylhydrazine HCl salt by hydrogenating the methoxy phenylhydrazine sulfurous acid salt by using a Pt-based catalyst. Preferably the Pt-based catalyst is selected from the group consisting of Pt/c, Pd/C and a Raney-Ni catalyst, and the hydrogenation is carried out at a temperature of 25-90 deg.C in the presence of water as a solvent.
