PURPOSE: Provided is a knitting machine for making a pile fabric which minimizes the abrasion of the bed groove by reducing the drawing out speed and the strength of the loop needle, and involves enhanced product quality and productivity with increased life span and reduced facility cost. CONSTITUTION: With the knitting machine(100) for making a pile fabric, a pile yarn(4) and a ground yarn(3) are woven at a knit fabric(2) composed of loops(2a), and the pile yarn is cut to form a brush fabric. The pile fabric knitting machine comprises: a cylinder(110) taking a knit fabric at the top thereof and having partition wall neighbors(113) interposing a bed groove(114) with a loop needle(111) at its center; a dial(120) placed above the cylinder perpendicular thereto and having partition wall neighbors(124) interposing a bed groove(125) with a knife needle(121) at its center and guide loops(122) formed at the left and right sides of the knife needle; a guide gear(131) placed over the knit fabric formed at the cylinder and mounted on the partition walls; guide grooves(132) formed at the bed grooves; and guide wheels(130) synchronized with the rotation of the cylinder to support the loops of the knit fabric when the loop needles of the cylinder move up and downwards. As the guide wheel tightly holds the loops of the knit fabric, the drawing out speed and the strength of the loop needles are reduced while minimizing the abrasion of the bed grooves.
