An S-shaped chain link connector 10 is integrally formed at its hook-shaped ends 11 with terminal plates 12 which prevent unintentional release of the connector from end links of chain lengths connected thereby, the plates 12 each having a concave recess 13 cut from a D- shaped periphery 14 such that easy connection, or release, of the connector with the end chain links, which are partially obstructed by loops of adjacent chain links passing therethrough, is effected by registering the plate recess 13 with the said adjacent chain link loop and pivoting the connector about this loop to pass the connector plate through the link to be connected. |
