PURPOSE: A CD copying method of a VCR/DVDP system is provided to allow a user to easily recognize a point of time by making a tray open when copy of an audio CD is completed. CONSTITUTION: When an audio CD copy key signal is input(S1), an operation of reading data from the audio CD and recording the read data in a cassette tape of a VCR is repeated(S5,S6,S7,S8). When data of the final track of the audio CD has been read(S9), a VCR recording mode is changed to a pose state(S12), and a tray is opened(S11). When the operation of reading the data of the final track of the audio CD is finished, a microcomputer of a DVD outputs a specific signal of informing a microcomputer of a VCR that the operation is finished(S10). When a new audio CD is loaded in a VCR/DVDP system, the copy process is repeated.
