PURPOSE: A cover rotating device for a chafing dish is provided to adjust the rotational angle of the cover of the chafing dish with the soft sliding operation to provide the convenience in operating the cover and the durability in the rotating device. CONSTITUTION: A cover rotating device controls the rotational force and the angle of a detachable cover for a chafing dish. A control ring(40) is connected to a cover bracket(80) inserted into a support shaft(10) connecting an inner frame(3) and an outer frame(4) to rotate the cover. Upper and lower magnetic rollers(90) are disposed at a roller hole(13) in the support shaft. The lower roller controls the rotational angle of the cover to move in and out hooked grooves in the control ring. Planes on both ends of the control ring connect to a brake disk(30) to control the rotational force of the cover.
