PURPOSE: A portable terminal using a portable phone as a peripheral device is provided to transmit a key input to an application program when a key is inputted by using a keypad of the portable phone, and to control the application program, thereby using various application programs through the connected portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal(100) is connected with a portable phone(200). The portable phone(200) is a peripheral device of the portable terminal(100). The portable terminal(100) comprises as follows. A processor(101) drives an application program such as a game or a scheduler. A flash memory(103) stores data or an application program execution code used in the processor(101). An ROM(105) stores a micro-program for the processor(101) or stores programs that are not updated. An RAM(107) records temporary information. An interface(109) interfaces with the portable phone(200).
