PURPOSE: To provide a head portion protector which can effectively reduce both the maximum acceleration and HIC, when receiving an impact, without more facilitating the breakage of an impact-absorbing liner 17 for a head portion at a place near to a forehead area than needed. CONSTITUTION: This head portion protector is characterized in that the first liner member 22 of the impact-absorbing liner 17 for the head portion has an expanded portion 24 for reinforcing at least one of a forehead region, a left side head region, a right side head region and a rear head region on the lamination side of the first liner member 22 in the region laminated to the second liner member 23 having a smaller density than that of the first liner member 22, and the second liner member 23 has a dent portion 25 having a shape approximately corresponding to the expanded portion 24.
