PURPOSE: A sensor is provided to assemble a collimating mirror at an accurate relative angle with respect to the exit mirror of a light transmitter or focusing mirror of a light receiver. CONSTITUTION: A sensor comprises a light transmitter(2) having a light transmitting element for generating infrared ray and an exit mirror for reflecting the infrared ray and emitting infrared ray oriented to a predetermined direction; a light receiver(9) having a light receiving element for receiving infrared ray and a focusing mirror for focusing the infrared ray emitted from the light transmitter onto the light receiving element; and a collimator(4) mounted on the light transmitter or the light receiver so as to adjust an optical axis. The collimator includes an eye-piece window, an objective window, and a collimating mirror(27) disposed on the collimating window interposed between the eye-piece window and the objective window. The collimating mirror is formed integrally with the exit mirror of the light transmitter or the focusing mirror of the light receiver.
