DEVICE OF COMPENSATING FOR LOW TEMPERATURE AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A device of compensating for low temperature and a method thereof are provided to process a temperature comparator and an analog PID(Proportion Integration Derivation) controller with a digital signal, thereby reducing the number of electric components and implementing miniaturization of module size. CONSTITUTION: A temperature sensor(1) detects using temperature of an optical communication element. A temperature comparator(100) processes a signal corresponding to the detected temperature of the temperature sensor(1) and a signal corresponding to reference temperature of the optical communication element with a digital signal, and generates a digital error value produced between the processed signals and the digital signal. A D/A converter(120) converts the digital error value of the temperature comparator(100) into an analog signal. An analog PID controller(200) PID-controls so that an error value converted into the analog signal becomes '0' with an analog method, and generates a temperature compensation signal. A temperature controller(3) controls temperature of the optical communication element by the temperature compensation signal.
