PURPOSE: A failure-sensing method of a fuel sender for a vehicle is provided to prevent an engine of the vehicle from stopping by lack of fuel by letting a driver know a failure of the fuel sender. CONSTITUTION: A failure-sensing method of a fuel sender for a vehicle comprises steps of calculating a point of time at which the set fuel amount is used up from an input signal of a vehicle speed sensor in a microcomputer; measuring the fuel amount of the fuel sender; comparing the fuel amount and the anticipated fuel consumption amount and executing normal control if the fuel amount of the fuel sender is over a predetermined value; and lighting a warning lamp by determining a failure of the fuel sender if the fuel amount of the fuel sender is under the predetermined value.
