PURPOSE: A system for evaluating the linearity of a fuel gauge is provided to precisely evaluate the linearity of the fuel gauge by graphically processing angle data of the fuel gauge in a controller. CONSTITUTION: A linearity evaluating system for a fuel gauge includes a retrieving device for retrieving fuel from a fuel tank in a predetermined speed. A fuel pump including a fuel sender is installed in the fuel tank. A regulator and a fuel retriever are installed at an exhaust side of the fuel pump. A signal outputted from the fuel sender is supplied into a cluster side of the fuel gauge so that an angle of the fuel gauge is varied in proportional to an amount of fuel being reduced. The regulator maintains a constant fluid level. A fuel pump/control unit controls driving force of the fuel pump. A flowmeter/control unit sends a signal to the fuel pump/control unit by checking an amount of retrieved fuel.
