PURPOSE: An LCD and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent the stain due to the external pressure by driving an image frame and a reset frame during a period of one frame to insert periodically the reset frame between each frame. CONSTITUTION: An LCD includes a liquid crystal module, an interface circuit, and a timing controller. The liquid crystal module is formed with a display panel and a gate driver and a source driver for driving the display panel. The interface circuit is used for outputting a vertical synchronous signal, a horizontal synchronous signal, a clock, and an R, G, and B control signal. The timing controller is used for receiving output signals of the interface circuit and outputting sequentially image data and black data to the liquid crystal module.
